Chiral Technologies, Inc. Highlights 20 Years of Innovation at InformexUSA 2011

WEST CHESTER, Pa. — January 24, 2011 — As Chiral Technologies Inc. continues to celebrate its 20 years of advancements in enantiomeric separation science, the company is introducing a number of new immobilized chiral stationary phases (CSPs) that will be commercially available later this year. Chiral Technologies, together with Daicel Chemical Industries, Ltd., will showcase its service capabilities as a single source of chiral compounds at InformexUSA 2011 (Feb.7-10, Charlotte Convention Center, Charlotte, N.C., Booth 1855).

The addition of new immobilized CSPs signals an even greater success rate in solving very challenging enantiomer separations. The CSPs, like all polysaccharide-based Daicel phases, can be used in both high-performance liquid chromatography and supercritical fluid chromatography modes. These immobilized CSPs also provide unique selectivities and high loading capacities, which are necessary for obtaining high productivity in the single-enantiomer manufacturing process. The polysaccharide columns are recognized globally as the most widely used phases with the broad range of applications for analytical, preparative, pilot- and commercial-scale separations.

At InformexUSA, Joseph Barendt, Ph.D., chief operating officer of Chiral Technologies, will participate in an Exhibitor Showcase session at 11:20 a.m., Feb. 7 in Room 217B.
